The Museum here just got an A-10 from Alaska. It was taking up the place where I usually park there for events as they didn't have anywhere else to reassemble it but a section of the parking lot. Great to have one here for display. Most likely someone on this forum worked this plane before.... |

| If I'd have known this is what that C-5 was bringing in, would have gone to check it out. ELP, where you at on Robins. I spend the days in B125. |

With all the upgrading and canning of the airframes at AMARC I've read about, I'm surprised they'd send one to a museum. Definitely cool for the museum, though ! |

Would be cool to get a donation from the LITENING pukes and dress it up as a P.E. package look-alike. Cool plane. Crew chiefs and pilots have always told me good things about this aircraft. At the time I was at Barksdale, the Reserve unit had these. Got to help out once putting together a computer aided pilot training program for the thing.
It can't do everything, but it can do a lot of things. Passed through Barksdale in '02 to take some pictures of the Reserve unit there, got one of the pilots to do fake strafing runs pointed at me to get some pictures. Met one of the civilian maintainers, an old guy, had some time working on B-58 Hustlers.
It is nice to see one here. This airframe will be well looked after. |

Looking good now. All put together and on display. Looks like the motors are still in it. Kind of nice in a way as the fan spins in the wind a bit like an airliners fan with the little clinking nose associated with it. Yeah maybe it is a hunk of metal to some. Hard to think that though as a lot of these aircraft show a personality. |

| Did they leave the pilot's name on it? If so, who is it? |
