A friend of mine was drinking Mai Tais by the pool on 10 October and watched two F-16s, with long range tanks arriving at Hickam AFB.
Would anyone on this forum know which two jets they were please?
Regards and thanks

Not sure when these jets were seen, but I was a part of an enroute support team from Kunsan AB in 1987 ferrying new F-16 C models over to the KUN...Also, later that year, I was a member of Kunsan's Gunsmoke 87 team headed to Nellis and we passed through Hickam both ways... During the enroute support visit, we had a jet with a fuel leak on the motor and as it was a depot type repair, we spent 40 days there waiting for a replacement motor and equipment to change it. Then we launched them out...
Could have been any of those visits or probably a hundred other since then...

Doubt it as that was last year!
Could have been the arrival of the 309 FS for DACT. Read 309 FS fly DACT missions over Hawaii |
