| A spouse taxi ride is where your spouse gets to taxi around in the F-16. they put the flight suit on and everything. my wife got one and i got to " launch" her out. they taxi'd to the runway, did a highspeed taxi, then came back. she lliked it! |

In my T-38 squadron, we offered "spouse taxi" rides to the wives of the E's in our squadron. Some did it.
The best deal I heard of was a good friend of mine whose wife got an incentive flight in an RAF F-4. It was their way of saying "thanks" for his efforts in hosting them for two weeks. |

There was a funny story about a Taxi Ride for a senator's wife at a fighter base down in FL.
The senator's aide was in the Op's Officer's office asking for a taxi ride for the senator's wife.
"Paco" Geisler asked why she deserved a taxi ride when he had a list of MX guys (Airman of the Year / Quarter / Month, etc.) that were in line for incentive rides, but the squadron hadn't yet been able to make good on 'em.
"Well, she's never had one" said the aide.
"Well, she's never seen the crack of my a$$, either!" was the reply!
Legend has it that she didn't get her ride.
It's a funny story, anyway. |

| My wife got a spouse taxi ride when I was expeditor on F-111Ds at Cannon. When the jet reached EOR, the radio quit working so they had to ground abort, came back and took the spare. I told her that she got the ultimate example of F-111 operations... |
