Yesterday at Shoreham Battle of Britain Airshow 2007, on 15th September (Battle of Britain Day).. Hawker Hurricane BD707 owned by Tom Blair, quite litterally fell out of the sky killing the pilot the name of whome has not been announced. A shocking thing for anyone to witness, I am still in shock.
Because there are no F-16s I have put this in here, this post of photos (I know there are alot) are my tribute to the aircraft, the pilot, all those who flew and died in WW2 and finally.... as a tribute to the airshow organisers.... the show must go on.
The Spitfire pilots also taking part in the dogfight demo immediately performed a missing man, ultimate respect to them.

One of our aircraft is missing....
LEST WE FORGET
THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Brian Brown RIP. A great pilot and a gentleman. Last ran into him some years ago at "Sun & Fun"
If you want to see his flying he flew some of the jet sequences in 1997's James Bond movie "Tomorrow Never Dies" and some of the sequences in "Flyboys" |

Andy,
Thank you both for your account of that day and for the photo memorial.
Godspeed to the pilot and my prayers go out to his family and friends. |

Have they found out why he went down? Join us in saluting Brain Brown, and extending our thoughts and prays to his family and to the brave men and woman who fought in the battle of Britain |
