Can anyone claim 78-0107. It was just painted in this scheme about two weeks ago.

Ahem,
That would be from 4th TFS at Hill, circa 1980. Small tail Block 10.
I may have flown it, lemme check........... yeppers, at least twice. 18 May 82 and 23 June 82. looks like a family model, from records. It may have gone to the 466th TFS USAF Reserve Unit down the street, as I recall them having small tail Block 10's for initial issue.

Hey Gums,
I knew it was from Hill, I was just trying to find a crew chief or pilot, who after all the years and all the places that this jet has probably been, to reunite with it. Lo and behold, it worked. Thanks for the reply Gums.

| A jet that old, and with a fresh, non-standard, paint scheme has to be sitting in an air park (museum) somewhere - probably at Hill AFB. Do you have any more photos showing more of the jet and/or the background? |

I just saw there are several photos of this jet in the photo upload gallery, with captions stating the jet is displayed at Lackland. Looks really strange with the gear down and the gear doors closed... |

Habus 1 and 2
I am the one that took the pictures and it is on display at Lackland AFB in Texas. I uploaded a total of 10 pictures of different angles trying to show off as much detail as possible. They cut the gear doors so that they could be closed with the gear down and then reattached the cut pieces to fit around the gear. Probably to keep guys like me from going and canning lines or door actuators. Kidding. They did that to keep people from just messing around and basically vandalizing the wheel wells. These display jets at different bases actually are on loan from the Air Force Museum at Wright-Petterson AFB, OH, so precautions have to be taken to protect them as much as possible.
