See if you can locate the F-22 Raptor in Google Earth, I found one in about an hour.
Found lots of Global Hawks and Sr-71s and one F-117.
I'm sure I could find more productive things to do but it's fun to find waldo

| uhh dude, there's like 5 or 6 in Tyndal, there's gotta be a few at Langley, I think I saw some somewhere in California (can't remember which base it was though). Nellis is also a known F-22 base. Go to youtube.com and search for google earth secrets, there's alot of things that are odd or cool or both. |

| Last time I looked there were some at Tyndall, Langley, Edwards, one at the Marietta Georgia plant. It may get harder to spot them though at least at their home bases as they apparently are under sun-shades. |

| WOW, check out Miami, New York, and a couple other cities. You can actually get on the ground and view a 360 image of certain streets. Can you imagaine what they (NSA, NRO, CIA) don't allow us to see yet. THey are probably recording me as I type this. |

Yeah, you can see what "they" let you see. If look at some important sites, what you see is a poor painting which misrepresents the actual facility. Some of the false images are pretty good... very good, and some look like they were done with microsofts paint program by a college intern.
Of course some things need to remain hidden from the bad guys in the world, but what I question is why even bother trying to hide some things when every single nation in the world can get the pictures of the actual site? Who are they trying to hide these things from? The civilian population. Christ, we even let the Russians fly right over some locations that a 172 would be whacked for getting to close to what is property of every single citizen of the US.
Look around, be imaginative in your site selections and tell me which sites you find to be falsified. Who cares about finding planes in a museum or sitting on the ramp at some base? Yeah, ok, it has its moments and I've had success in finding planes in flight by following routes used to get to training areas, or by following a final approach some distance of miles away from a runway. |

| I wish they'd update that Marietta shot. It's been that way almost as long as Google Earth has been around. |

I'll try!!! But I'm and aussie and have no idea where the bases are? It's easier to find aircraft on the ground because you know where to look!

That imagery is actually collected by Google with roof-mounted cameras on vans.

I can't imagine how much data they end up collecting. Gotta be a LOT of hard drives! |

There's two MiGs that I can see hanging around at Tyndall. One is a 29 and the other a 23/27? |
