Code one means the is in perfect flight condition. Code 2 means the jet has a discrepancy against it, but is still flyable. Code 3 means the jet has a discrepancy against and cannot fly again until it has been fixed or corrected.

Between f-22 delivery(dd250) and ferry flight , what happens to new one?

For example f-22 #06-4109 was delivered on Dec. 20. 2007 according to f-22 mission brief December 2007, and its ferry flight was on Jan. 9. 2008.

Quote:
Maj. Micah Fesler, a 433rd Weapons Squadron pilot, flies F-22A block 30 #06-4109 from the Lockheed-Martin factory in Georgia to Nellis AFB on January 9th, 2008.

And why dose the new f-22 #4107 with its tail mark "AK" go to Langley AFB?
