Sometime before the Sun expands into a red giant and envelops the Earth? Yes. Anytime soon? No.
In the '90s the Army was pushing very hard for the RAH-66. Once that finally got killed they were caught a little flat footed. The OH-58D with the MMS is a pretty capable platform. |

I like the Kiowa very much and i think it`s a very good choice for a scout helicopter.
How about the RAH-70 or the unmaned army helicopters ? |

I was under the impression that "ARH-70" was the Bell project name for a new variant of the OH-58. It's based on the Bell 407, which is itself a newer version of the 206/OH-58, right?
edit: I didn't realize the plan was for production models to not have the MMS, I assumed it was missing on the prototype. |
