The latests photos of the BF-1 being put together. The BF-1 is the first STOVL F-35B prototype. It is also the first aircraft built on the redesigned and ~1 ton lighter airframe. Note the differences in the upper fuselage loft line (contour) compared to the F-35-AA-1. The F-series upper fuselage has a slightly less pronounced engine hump line and is re-contoured to be less curvaceous causing it to appear flatter even though it is the sides that have been raised slightly.

F-35 AA-1 upper fuselage contour (for comparison)
