The intel is somewhat wrong in the newstopc. The 2 Spare Vipers will only fly to Gran Canaria and then return to Twenthe.
Route:
Twenthe->Gran Canaria->Brazil->Chile |

Neither the article or the info at the linked site says that the 2 air spares are going the full distance, so this is extra info which we can update are article with. Thanks |

| The 6 Vipers were followed on their Atlantic crossing not only by the KDC-10 tanker, but also by a civilian IL-76 (from Russia) probably carrying support equipment and spares. Here are some photos taken at Recife AB, in Brazil. |

Hi All,
Nice pictures!!
I was at Gran Canaria on 04092006 waiting for my flight back to the UK.
4 f-16's all in Chilean basic scheme and comprising of 3 F-16BM and 1 F-16AM had just arrived and parked at Gando but no confirmation of serials as no binoculars! At 1324hrs the IL-76TD RA-76445 arrived and parked with them.
Also parked adjacent to these were 2 olive green camouflaged C-130 with serials in black on tail presented as per Brazilian AF aircraft. Were these also support aircraft and can anyone identify them please?
I am aware the F-16'S left Twenthe in 2 batches one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Clearly the 4 I saw were the morning departures, It would appear that the 4 in the first batch were J-141 657 885 & 656 from the lists on the forum but can anyone confirm please? If this is the case the spares had either departed or did not travel with the first wave or did not land at Gando.
Thanks!
Neil |

According to http://www.322rfsquadron.nl F-16 J-878 left Leeuwarden AB for Twente AB where it was handed over to its new employer, the Fuerza Aerea de Chile.
 RNlAF F-16AM #J-878 from 322 sqn is passing the camera on its way to the runway. The aircraft will be transferred to Chile as #724 in 2006. |

Does anyone has heard or know when the next group of Dutch F-16's will fly over to Chile?
Thanks
