Huggy,

Going 1,600 mph will cost about $205,000... 200k was the price of the last F-104 sold and you'll need 5k for the gas!

Dave V.L. bought a flyable, nice Super Saeta for ~$10K! Flew it out the same day. He knows of a bunch of good, cheap jets.

Huggy,

Sounds like we need to find a Jet-A sponsorship! The Fort Wayne folks have some pretty neat stuff that has passed through there. Between the T-38, F-100, Dave's T-33, etc. Cool place!

I think you might because many people have mannaged to get their hands of old warbirds. At many airshows there is at least 6 or 7 on display.

That $5.76 a gallon gas is one reason why my pilot's license has 19 years of dust on it...
