Guard Units have them but we dont have a "west coast/East Coast" way of delpoying active troops. Ft. Lewis is our biggest Aviation hub in the Western United States. You've also got Riley and Carson in Kansas and Colorado. Other than that most of our stuff is on the Eastern half of the country (Steward, Campbell, Drum, Rucker, etc).
Figure it this way, if the Army has helicopters at a post its gonna be Hawks, then Apaches, then Maybe Chinooks, and possibly Kiowas. As for what field they are at in the surrounding area hey its whatever they are doing at the time. |

| Active duty has AH-64s at Ft. Carson CO, that is as western as it gets. Guard has Arizona, Utah and Idaho in that area. Most these mentioned posts are homes to a Combat Aviation Brigade, a CAB has all aircraft and when they deploy, entire CAB goes. Rucker is a training post, they don't deploy. |

| ID and AZ are the only states I know of that have guard Apache units close enough they might be considered West Coast. AZ has AH-64Ds and I think ID still has A models. I heard rumors that CA Guard got some Apaches, but am not sure. Fort Lewis might eventually get some. |

| Fort Lewis has been in the rumor mill since I joined in 2004. Never happened. |

Utah has some. Not sure if they are Alphas or Deltas but the toolbox in my class from their guard unit reminds us of it every damn day. |

| Did he brought his wives to Rucker too?... Ahem ahem... Ok I take it back... Deltas are at AZ and NC at this time, I don't know if there are other states planning that conversion. I looked into ID before and they are not. |
