I give so many airman the boot due to lacking grades when it is all so simple if you study. If you can't get it in your head to come here and study hard for 4-5 months then don't come. This is not the old training days where you gave 100% and were lucky to get half that back from your instructor. Bring your PC or stereo, but if you **** up or fail have the money on hand to pay the fiddler.

Ahh I see. Im pretty good at keeping my priorities straight in terms of studying, but to be studying the inner workings of the F-16, it should be no problem for me. If I had to pick between working on a real F-16 or playing Falcon [Link pending approval] I would pick real F-16 hands down. Thanks for answering my question and Ill see you in sept hopfully. BTW do you and your roommates get your own desk or how does that work? How many room mates do you have anyways? |

| Do you guys still hand out chalk for the students to draw out systems on the hangar floor? Theres two-three per room usually, the dorm is old as hell, but they keep it clean. They have one single bed and a bunk. There are two big desks if I remember correctly. |

An Ex-Instructor.. Fighter Commons (Fundes) is 19 school days and the Aircraft spicific (Track) F-16 info is 68 school days then Hot Training at Luke is 1 month. So roughly about 6.5 months if everything goes right. Now you might have some days in between classes from Fundies to Track and most of the time a couple of days to a week once you arrive at Luke. But since you are Guard if they are a couple of classes behind, you will be placed in a class that is just starting. Guard and Reserve get first dibs, they want to get you back to your unit.
Track is only 58 days now and Fundies has gone down to 16 days as well... |

If you are in my class, yes, you will be drawing on the floor. Regurgetating notes dosen't mean sh*t unless you can comprehend Theory of Operation. Most instructors do it for that reason, same reason we use forms everyday just like they would on the ramp. |
