There are several job opportunities in a variety of AFSCs at the 178 Fighter Wing/ Maintenance Group in Springfield, Ohio. The 178 MXG offers some unique opportunities to continue your military service, work as a civilian, No mobility requirements, regular shifts, great facilities and a variety of opportunities....check out the jobs web site. This unit is is engaged in more work for this emerging mission. The 178 is located just East of Dayton, West of Columbus and North of Cincinnati.

| The Springfield base was the last time I saw an F-100 Super Sabre take off and fly. Sometime in the mid to late 70's I was riding my bike past the airport and stopped on the north side to watch a pair of Huns take off. That has to be close to 30 years ago. Darn it, why did I not have a camera then? |
