elp,

I don't think you'd be out of bounds with hydrazine references. I don't have the time right now, but I seem to recall a thread from a couple of years ago which covered crashed F-16s and what to do if one crashes near you. One thing in there IIRC was to stay upwind due to the hydrazine Wink .

Yeah I remember that thread too. I was too lazy to look. I decided not to mention anything cause there is so much first hand skill here right on the forum. Very Happy

Which reminds me, I have never done a F-16 mishap (knock on wood) so I haven't had any particular hazmat briefs/training for that aircraft. Visited a lot of F-16 units just never been assigned to one.

I know just what you mean Smile .

Knowing the little that I do about the F-16, I'd worry about hydrazine, toxic fumes from burning composites, possible weapons onboard, and other little things like batteries that don't do well in fires Wink .

I'd run up to a downed Viper in a heartbeat if there was an injured pilot inside, but if I saw a chute or a seat missing from the cockpit, you'd better believe I'd set a world record for running while getting upwind and out of range of any shrapnel Very Happy !
