Hi!
I'm new here, and found F-16.net when looking for pics. The thing is that I'm building an old ESCI kit, which maybe isn't top notch, but will have to do for now
The instructions suggest FS-35109 and FS-35526 for the two-tone camo and FS-36622 for the underside. According to the instructions they're called dark gray, gray and light gray, but the two first FS colors are blue. Can anyone here help me sort things out?
Also the paint scheme is different from what I've found here, so I'm a bit confused.

Yikes! Those are some convoluted colors. But first and most important, what version are you making? What markings?

With the kit you can do five versions, but the one I think I'll go for is, as stated on the instructions:
United States Air Force - AF75-50747 (2nd FSD Aircraft)
I hope that is useful.

Well the only blue I can think of is the Cloud Scheme, but that was on the YF-16, not the FSD. That kit doesn't represent the YF-16, though you can make a reasonable FSD out of it. The FSDs were in several schemes though, which one would you like?

747 was FSD #3, and became XL #2. Back in the day I posted all the pics of FSDs I could find, they may be in the gallery now.

never said it was...
The original Hasegawa 1:32 kit calls out 36076 / 36270 / 36440 for ol' 747... |

Not saying you said it was blue, the OP said it was. And the FS #'s he posted are blue.

Thanks for information!
I think ESCI have made a mistake and given wrong FS #. I thought it would be grey colors but which?
habu2: the pic you posted matches the instructions. The Hase colors might work.
habu: I have to admit that I don't know very much about the plane I'm building, but I'm learning I'm not sure which FSD scheme I want, and what FSD stands for.

The first eight pre-production airframes built were referred to as Full Scale Development (FSD) aircraft, used for test and evaluation before beginning production. Serial numbers were 75-0745 thru -0752. The first production F-16A was a Block 01, serial number 80-0001.

Thanks!
Now I'm a little less confused. I actually just found out that it's originally a Monogram kit that also several other companies released. Evidently there seems to be some confusion/mix-up between the YF-16 and the FSD,or something like that. What I can't understand is how they can have Danish and Norwegian markings on a FSD scheme??? Unless the scheme was the same on the production models.
I'm not sure about the differences between YF-16 (is that the red, white and blue?) and a FSD and if it's easily fixed.
If you like I'll show what I've done so far.

Sure, you can post your progress in the in-progress forum. The YF-16 was painted in the red, white blue, but it was also painted in other schemes, and the FSD was also painted in the RWB.

Thanks! I think I'll do that.
I think the suggested gray on gray will do just fine, and I don't have the decals for the RWB scheme. Maybe someday I'll do that too, but I'd like to do one in a more up to date scheme first. I also would like to do one F-16 in every scale from 1/144 to 1/32
