Hello guys,
It's been awhile, as evidenced by the long line of orange icons next to the topics. Wanted to let all interested know that I'm doing fine. Training is going well, and if all continues as planned, I'm just a few weeks away from earning my Enlisted Aircrew wings. Hoping for a C-17 assignment, so I'll let you know how that works. I'll be back on from time to time and will try to keep up with everyone. Later.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I won't find out for a little while yet, where I'll be assigned, but seriously, I'd be as happy with McGuire as I would be with Hickam. I'm just so excited to actually get to fly for a living, and I'll be flying all the time anyway, so I won't have a lot of time to really sit and lament on how much I love or hate an assignment. My assignment will be where I throw my extra crap in a closet, basically.
It will be different wearing the uniform every day, AND it will be different having LS work on my own equipment. Things will definitely be different, and I'm really looking forward to it. It's really weird, knowing that my active duty friends are all Techs now, and I'm still an A1C. It's really weird being the only A1C in my class with a B.A. Some of those guys in my class must look at me like I'm some old man. I'm still getting used to it, but no real complaints...Ok, AETC sucks a big fat one, but we all knew that already anyway, right?
Can't wait for that brew Parrothead. I can definitely use a case right now! |

Heh heh! I'll prolly roll my @$$ out of Margaritaville! Because what is Margaritaville, if you can't be "Wasted away again..."? |

| TC you going through Loadmaster school? Just curious. Oh- and how did you end up as an A1C, if you don't mind me asking? |

Cool !! I just talked to another one of my C-17 acquaintances today. He landed a C-17 in 1800ft while carrying an M-1 tank. A real man's plane ( OK sorry there are C-17 aircrew out there too ). I'd love to go to an airlift rodeo and see what kind of stuff they have the C-17 do.
Take care and good to see you on the forum. |

| I think TC spent some time in the reserves and got out. They let you go AD being prior service? That's interesting, I'm looking into loadmaster for our C-130's here, but I'd rather go active. Let me know. |

| My wife just spoke with a recruiter today about trying to go to AD- back to active duty, in her case- and the only people they're letting in are cops, PJ's, combat controllers, etc; and, apparently they've filled the quota's for the FY, they told her to try again in November. |
