A news item that should probably be added to the bulletin board.

The F135-100 initial service release (ISR) configuration has reportedly entered ground test:

This version of the CTOL F135 engine is expected to be delivered to the Air Force beginning in 2009, and represents a refinement of the current flight test engines. It reportedly features lower turbine inlet temperatures (and improved durability), among other changes.
