OMG yes! Kunsan, winter, 40 below with the wind chill and outside. I was the lowest ranking member of the shift and was "volunteered" to safety the aileron trim motor turnbuckle on a F-4D. Awkwardly placed on the centerline beam and the CL tank was still installed (?) Aside from being a bitch to get to, the cold meant I spent 10 minutes warming up the hands on the heater and then 10 minutes of working with the gloves off (no room to wear them).

Took about an hour the first time, then I broke it doing the pigtail. Second time, it was loose and the seven level wouldn't sign it off. Third time was the charm. I remember that the blowing snow painted a line down my leg. I was covered on the back and green on the front of my whole body.

Well I've never worked any of the acft that are being discussed here but the toughest I've done is between the upper bolt on the NLG door retract actuator and crossover tube on the MEC on the F110.
