I was playing around in this good old AC that we use for engine tests now and then. Try to guess what type of AC it is |

| Yeah, you are right... They did what will probably it's last engine test the other day... This thing really had a great sound! It was a great feeling to see/feel it running for a last time. |

Gees Kosmos,
Make it something difficult next time. That left side hinged canopy was a dead giveaway, the panel with the F-104 nose view showing ordinance, and the canopy breaker is F-80, T-33, and F-104 standard issue. No Spurs in that MB seated TF-104G, we do like our chromed Spurs used in our Zippers. We started flying FCF’s last Thursday with our Starfighters. Our first airshow is this weekend at Mac Dill AFB in Tampa, FL.

JR007: I didn't know that it would be all that easy to see that it was a F-104... Oh well, I will try something better next time.
Something made me wonder... F-104's to an airshow?? What is the story here?? |

What about F-104's to an airshow?
And what's your girl's name? |

Habu, why don't you ask for her phone number too ,
The -104 cockpit is very recognizable to people who have an interest in military cockpit. It has many features that are quite distinctive, including one that told me which 'pit it was by the time my dial-up had loaded only 1/3 the pic. The canopy jettison canisters are VERY distinctive. That with a couple of minor features made it exceptionally easy. I was just waiting to see which seat it was to narrow down which version.

| The pistol-grip throttle quadrant and the shape of the glareshield were the unique indentifying clues for me - didn't even have to go looking at any photos to compare. |

Alright! My little quiz was waste of time. What is the deal with 104's to some airshow? Do you guys still have some of them flying in the US???
My girlfriends name? Emilie... The only sad thing is that she likes helicopters more then jets. I have no clue why! |

Kosmos, don't take this personally, but your comment about girlfriends and helicopters reminded me of a recent thread on a certain OH-58D sensor video... do a google search on the filename:
oh-58d_-_jrtc_fun.wmv (there are multiple instances out there)... about 11MB in size and probably not work-safe (depending on your job...) but very funny - and entertaining |
