| I was a CAMT and FTD Armament Systems instructor at MacDill. I used to take my class on tanker flights to motivate and inspire them. Heres one of the many pictures i took on one of the flights. |

OK, so this is only half of an F-16. I was tasked with making this into a maintenance trainer at MacDill, wasnt really feasable. I am always looking for more MacDill images. I was stationed there from 1975 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1990. I still live near the base and work with the wing historian collecting images and stories from the base, any era. If you have any images or stories of MacDill, please share them.

| Great picture,I remember when our first F-16s arrived with black radomes. LOL, didnt work like I thought it would,not attached to the correct picture. |

| I have to say, I wish MacDill still had Vipers. It would make AirFest a helluva lot more fun, and getting into the simulators (friend of a family member!!) even better. |

| I was at MacDill in the 1979-1981 timeframe as an Avionics Technician (A-shop) in the 61st AMU until I departed there to help open Kunsan with F-16's. Anyway, while at MacDill, I snapped this old photo of the first package of Israeli F-16's sitting with 61st jets as they stopped thru on the way overseas. Sorry for the bad resolution, but still a window into those days. |
