| Man, these are ALL great shots. I like that Everglades shot 2 posts above me. That's an oldie above me from the 482nd. Black radome A model, and no Mako Shark on the tail. That was just after the transition from Rhinos to Vipers. I'm still looking for my pic of the A model flying over what was left of the old Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa Bay. It's a black & white, but it's a good pic. Given the condition of the Skyway (post-disaster) and the fact that the new Skyway hadn't even begun construction, I'd date the pic I have between mid 1980 to late 1984. |

Its hard to tell in the posted shot but that's actually a black cover over the radome. 82-0914 is a late Block 15 so it should have the std gray radome underneath the cover. |

Wow! This thread has been dead for a long time. Surprised I could still find it. Anyway, I finally found that MacDill pic that I promised, like back in...what was it, March? So, here goes. This was the 56th CC's bird at MacDill, flying over the old Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Given the absence of the South-bound span, and the fact that the new Skyway construction hadn't begun, I would date this pic sometime between mid-1980 to 1984. Enjoy, and if anyone else has anymore MacDill or Homestead pics, post 'em!

Hey!
I've got some shots if Mcdill jets.........The only problem is that they've got CO on the tail now (87-0231/87-0254). The rest came from the 401st out of Torrejon. As far as lack of respect on photos.......it's the guard and reserves. About the only time you might get some recognition is when your operating out of a hazardous location and then maybe they'll put in a picture. I saw so many combat camera folks but I'm still trying to figure out what happened to all the pics. Of course another option is......................paint'em for a competition! |

Hey H2,
You Da Man. Now I wonder if ol' Roberto Sanchez is checking out this site. Maybe he might find it in the goodness of his heart and also say "Hmm, maybe there is enough interest to do a few sheets of these birds." |

Well, as I have said before, the biggest lack of respect on this site definitely goes to Mickey D, with Homestead a close second. Maybe it's because I'm a Florida boy, so I want to find as many pics from those bases as I could. Now, if this were 1987, I'd have pics from both of those bases coming out my ears, but given the fact that the 31st bolted from Homestead circa 1993, and F-16 ops closed up at MacDill around 94, we have a serious lack of pics from both units. Love that Tiger meet pic though. So, that was an ex Mickey D bird? Correct me if I'm wrong, but would that be a Block 30 C model? I know someone on this site had to have been in the 31st TFW or the 56th TTW/TFW, so start sending in the pics boys! Oh yeah, and Happy Thanksgiving to the Yanks on this site!

TC,
The pic is <a href="f-16_fighting_falcon_airframe-2310.html">87-0284</a>. Just an example of pics taken but never published. The jets are block 30. |

Thanks Jon, and to everyone else who added these pics. As I've said before, any pics from Mickey D or Homestead will be greatly appreciated. I think I might have a lead on a few, but I'm sure somebody else out there knows of some too. P.S. That was a sick looking pic of that Viper wreckage!

Yeah, the photo is sick, but also check out the history on that airframe (A MUST SEE):
http://www.f-16.net/f-16_fighting_falco ... e-557.html
It was the first F-16 I came across searching for them from MacDill, but didn't want to put it first in the list |
