Revell announced a new 1/72 F-22 Raptor kit, based of new tools!
Details:
Kit number: 04386
Release date: October 2007
List price: Euro 14,99
Parts: 100
Length: 264 mm
Span: 189 mm
Skill-Level: 9
With new tools, this kit should be some better as Revell´s former 1/72 kit #04618 from 2001 (probably identical with Italeri´s kit #1207 from 2000).
Anybody who can confirm that Revell´s former 1/72 F-22 kit was based of the original Italeri tools? So I knew, some years ago Revell also adopted Italeri´s 1/48 Raptor kit. |

I can't confirm about the older tooling, but with this new one, is it really a concern? Though I hear it's not the easiest thing to get info or measurments on this puppy, right Mike? |

Hoi,
The F-22 is growing on me. Might be due to the PR it has been getting and how it has performed so far... So i am eager to see what RofG will come out with. They have had some great new tool kits this decade.

| The new raptor will not be a rebox of the italeri kit. Its a brand new tooling and looking at their latest productions it should be fairly impressive!! |

| Just ordered mine, can't wait to start it; haven't built a modern fighter since my 1/32 Tamiya F-16 that was finished in '05. Kit looks good from pix I've seen on the 'net, going to detail it out. Glad to see they included the 600s. |
