Hi, I'm new here. I have been trying to learn more about F-16 and got some difficulties.
Can anyone tell me why F-16 fighting falcon is also known as the Viper. |

| Its deadly, nimble, and its one heck of a better name than the Falcon. |

I think the real question is "why is the Viper also known as the Fighting Falcon?"
The unofficial name Viper pre-dates the formal dedication name of Fighting Falcon by at least a year, maybe more. |
