Don't jump me for not checking the FI yet...I just got home after doing runs all day. Wink

My jet's been in Phase, where I changed both JFS/brake accumulators. Both hold the precharge, and once pumped up they both hold hydraulic pressure too. Today we started doing the end of Phase engine runs. One of my bottles has a gremlin. It has an intermittened problem where it will pressurize to 3,000 in no time with the other bottle while the JFS is running, and every once in awhile it will take up to 2 minutes before it even starts moving up to 3,000psi. I'll tell my boss about it and sure enough the next run it will shoot right up to 3K.

I'll dig into it tomorrow at work, but anyone have any ideas or had similar experiences?

Must have just been sticky seals since I didn't pressurize and dump a few times to get them moving freely. Did a few runs today and it worked great every time.

I'm not a rated maintainer, but stuff like this is what helps make this site really great. I may not understand all of it, but I enjoy reading it. Cool

Sounds like you got alot of air in B system

Do a good bleed of the JFS hydro system with the muel in stand ... pump the bottles up and down numerous times, watch the flow meter for air.

If that don't fix it it's probably one of the check valves in the hydraulic start manifold

Good luck

Dude make sure you hold down the jfs dump valves when servicing the precharge. Bleeding the B sys reservoir when the jfs stsrts helps too.

Rgr, I held the dump valves while servicing precharge...precharge is holding great. Air in the B sys could have been the culprit. While in phase we had so many hydraulic lines disconnected and filter bowls out...plus the ADG change...very likely just needed a good bleed (which we did). She's on the schedule tomorrow afternoon so here's hoping for a code 1 (been on the ground in Phase for the past two months)! Smile

elp, it's the experienced fixers here that make it great to me. I can find answers most of the time in the manuals at work, but it's cool to hear what others think might be going on. Smile
