So we were doing post phase runs last night and had something happen that i have never seen in my experience, and ive done maybe 30 or so low energy ignition ops checks.
We had the typical low e set up, shorting cap installed fuel backup cb pulled and the 60 was on. Cranked, went over the horn, got light off, everything was going as planned until 58 percent. Standby came online for about 5 seconds then went off line and got a hard standby gen light. So i go ahead and shut down. On a side note, E/E messes with stanby gen c/ps every phase for cleaning, so we thought that one wasnt on tight enough again, (has happened last 3 phases but those c/ps always gives a flcs power branch fail) but that wasnt the case. One of my fellow phase 7 levels told me that he has seen it happen before where doing a low e will sometimes give you a standby light. So we go ahead and take the shorting cap off and try a normal start and i'll be damned, the standby came on line and stayed online this time. Like i said before ive done low e a ton of times and never seen this happen. Anybody else seen it ? |
