Let me start out by saying I first posted in the general topic form with no replies but several people looked at the question.

I am in the USAF as an aerospace propulsion journeyman working on block 40 C&D models. I'm looking for help to built and utilize proven locally adapted test sets I have heard of a few I'm trying to located and build. The first is a JFS break out box that would be used to measure ohms checks outlined in the 80FI-00-11. The other is one I have actually seen and used once it was for the ESDC (enhanced signal data converter) and the throttle position switch. The procedures are similar to those in the 70FI-00-11.

We have 2 DEESC for 26 aircraft. The DEESC works well if you have them in every aircraft. we have been seeking to fund more DEESC but would require over 70 the outfit the whole wing. I'm looking for all local testers for any system that make the maintenance technician job easier. I've haerd of an AFETS rep haveing a locally made ESDC tester as well.

A mulit meter works pretty good for testing the ohms in those systems.

DESSC is a good "tool" to use, just as bix had indicated. However it doesn't find all problems. Some electrical and some fuel problems can elude the DESSC and not be diagnosed by the TEDU. Oh by the way, the JFS system is not trouble shot by our engine troops.
