Hey folks,
Anyone see <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/184773/">this picture</a> from autoblog.com? Anyone happen to know if the Raptor in the background is a mockup or an actual?
Thanks,

It's this F-22 <a href="serials_airframe-5509.html">#91-4006</a>
F-22A Raptor #91-4006 soars over the grounds of the U.S. Air Force academy in Colorado on June 1. This flight was flown by Lt. Col. Dawn Dunlop, an F-22 test pilot and 1988 academy graduate, in support of the Class of 2004's graduation parade. Colonel Dunlop and the Raptor are from Edwards AFB, California. |

| Hi, Smithsguy! Thank you very much for posting this very nice "hot shot" (never seen before, at least by me!). It clearly shows Raptor 4006, one of the nine flyable test aircraft, originally assigned to the 411th TES at Edwards AFB. Question to Smithsguy: can/will you provide any original photo source (including caption)? And: Who´s the photographer? |

| I think the only reason I might go watch that movie is because the Raptor is one of the Decepticons, same reason why I watched the Hulk (F-22 and Comanche). I think it's great the USAF is spreading it's image to the general public via movies... |

Good Morning,
I backtracked and found this link -- http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=126277 -- on a Transformers board. The poster there commented "I haven't seen this before and thought others might be interested. It is apparently from a photo op at Edwards AFB."
From there, went to http://www.edwards.af.mil/photos/ and found -- "Edwards 'transforms' into blockbuster movie set.Several "Transformers" line up in front of an F-22A Raptor here Feb. 28, 2007. The vehicles were on base to shoot several scenes for the upcoming "Transformers" film. The movie marks the first time non-computer-generated Raptors are depicted in a film. (Photo by Andy Wolfe)"
Enjoy,

| Well I certainly hope the FX people does the F-22 (Starscream) justice in this movie. I still have bad memories from the lackluster exposure the Raptor got in "The Hulk". |
