In this F-22 Raptor video, Major Paul "Max" Moga talks you through the maneuvers he performs during the airshow demonstration flight. Each maneuver is shown from entry to exit so you get a true feel of the F-22's capabilities. I shot this at the 2007 Sacramento airshow. Strap in!

F-22 Raptor Demo at Charleston SC Airexpo 2008:

It'd be interesting to see the Russian show queens or the Eurochicken attempt that type of turn rate . I'm also curious as to the numbers behind those turns (i.e. enter and exit speeds, g load...). |

I'd love to see a Mono flip followed by an immediate pedal-turn, thus reversing direction of nose coming out of the flip and maybe segwaying into a 3rd manuever after the pedal!
But who wouldn't want the Raptor to replicate even the Super Hornet's dem flight display for starters? That is one pretty fluid display. |

| That Charleston video, has something I haven't seen before. Is that a knife edge right after lift-off? I have was @ the March show and couldn't tell whether it was a turn or an edge. I went to the museum side of the AFB, where you get a unique view of the show and of course I didn't bring my camera. The m/v where the Raptor is flying backwards, flat-spining and spiral diving were great because it looked as though it was falling straight down on top of us. |

| Well the turn was after lift off and was a positioning turn...ie...to the show box. |

| Can't wait for the Raptor to finally blow the doors off in RIAT 08. Perhaps the demo team will add a new trick or two to the repertoire yet? Wish I could be there anyway. |

If they did that they would need re-certification from COMACC. I don't think they'll be adding anything else. |
