I am thinking I may have found a pretty great spot for spotting near the JRB @ Ft Worth... Not to mention I might get a little fishing in while waiting for Fly-by's...

Anyone ever used their boats or other vehicles to get shots they would normally be able to get???

Looking at this mapof the JRB @ Ft. Worth I think I may be on to something... What do y'all think???

Only bad thing with that is, i think 99% of the time, they take off due south, and return from the south.

It's true, much of the time they use runway 17 (heading south). But I have thought what a prime spot it would be in relation to the runways. You really can't beat the White Settlement Road location (#1 on the map). It's easy to get to. Can get great shots of departing aircraft and if they do use runway 35, the added bonus of taxi shots. Spot #6 is a great location to catch aircraft on approach. . .otherwise forget it for shooting takeoffs. Keith R.

Spot #2 is a pretty good spot too. The old Calloways parking lot. Its abandoned, so you would have no issues with any people.

I also got some good pics of the CATB Cooperative Avionics Test Bed 737 that LM is using to test some of the F-35 avionics... Gotta love that F-35 nose scabbed onto the nose of a 737...
