I am working on a set of decal reference pages to compliment my kit reference pages, and I wanted to ask for some input. I plan to have scans of the decal sheets, and similar info identifying the correct block info for each serial number depicted on the sheet. Do you think having the decal sheet image is enough or should the instruction sheet be made available too? Consider it will literally double my scanner time, and (further) delay uploading the reference pages - are the instruction sheets still worth the effort?

I'd just have pics of the decal sheets, and if the person wants instructions, maybe then they can contact you, or a work in progress kinda thing?

I'd rather see the instruction sheets instead of the decal sheets. Besides, then you don't have to worry about fuzzying up the decals sheet scans so no one starts making their own decals off your scans.

That's why I'd rather see the instruction sheets. I'd rather know what serial number goes with what tail code....

Fastmover76, understand. What I have now is a text description with each sheet, identifying the user (nationality/service), squadron, serial number, and block/miniblock - much like I have on my kit survey pages.

I am doing the Superscale sheets first, and have caught numerous errors on their instruction sheets. I am always concerned about the accuracy of their decals after seeing the inaccuracies in their supporting documentation. Makes me appreciate Two Bobs all that much more.

How true, how true... btw h2, are you going to to have a section for 1/72 decals, too? You might have said something about this before that I didn't catch. |

Iron_Eagle, 1:72, 1:48 and 1:32. I don't know if it will be as comprehensive as my kit pages as a lot of decals have been released in Europe that I probably don't know about. Will definitely cover Superscale, Repliscale, Two Bobs, Aeromaster, Eagle Strike, and what DACO, ASTRA and Isradecals I have been able to acquire.

Awesome! I have an Experts Choice sheet depicting my home state Michigan's F-16s. If you need anything just let me know. BTW do you know anywhere where I can still get 1/72 Repliscale sheets, besides Hannats and preferably U.S. shops? They have a sheet featuring one of MI ANG's ex units that I wanted to have.

habu2, you rule. I have the Repli-Scale 1/72nd sheet for the Arizona ANG and AFRES F-16s. Which, looks like its half of the Superscale sheet with the same subjects. Repli-Scale sheets really were weird, but there is one that's the bain of my existance. I've been trying to find their Sunliners F/A-18 sheet (in 72nd) so I can do Scott Speicher's jet....

72-1032, it has both MiG killers from VFA-81 and Speicher's jet.
