Ok so it's 0227 here in Phoenix and I was bored and was curious and searched google for the last Viper delivered to the air force. I learned that it had been delivered in march 2005 to Shaw. What i couldn't find was the tail #. Does anyone know this and if so do you have any pics?

That would be 01-7053

Here's the detailed aircraft history: <a href="f-16_fighting_falcon_airframe-4592.html">F-16 Airframe Details for 01-7053</a>

You can easily find it in our <a href="f-16_aircraft_database.html">Aircraft Database</a>, just click on serials, then USAF, then just go to the last page (page 167). The last one in the list is the last one delivered.

We also have a news article on the event:

<a href="news_article1332.html">U.S. Air Force receives last F-16</a>

A few forum topics:
<a href="modules.php?op=modload&name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=686&highlight=01-7053">Last F-16C</a>

And some photographs (there's more in the <a href="gallery.html">Photo Gallery</a>

Brig. Gen. Jeff Riemer delivers the last new Air Force F-16 at Shaw AFB March 18. General Riemer, who was the System Program Office director when the contract for F-16s was awarded, flew the Falcon from the Lockheed Martin plant in Forth Worth. While Lockheed will continue to produce F-16s for international coalition partners, this aircraft is the last of 2,231 F-16s produced for the Air Force. The first delivery was in 1978.

Brig. Gen. Jeff Riemer climbs down from the cockpit of the last new Air Force F-16 shortly after flying it to Shaw AFB from the Lockheed Martin plant in Fort Worth on March 18. General Riemer was the System Program Office director when the contract for F-16s was awarded.

USAF F-16C block 50 #01-7053 is parked here on the flightline at Shaw AFB on April 25th, 2005.

hope this helps,
