Falcon series is heaps better than LOMAC in terms of realism, and it sports a great dynamic campaign, but lack the diversity of aircraft (AF at least) and have much more dated graphics. It always depends what you want to go for.

Falcon 4.0 Allied Force is a good software but you can have more realism with Open Falcon that have more realistic avionics (and more complex...)

Information in Global Falcon Comunity.

It depends on your computer setup and your personal tastes. They're both good flight simulators - Lock On: Modern Air Combat has better graphics in my opinion. But a result of that is that it will bring a lot of PC's to a crawl. Falcon: Allied Force could do that too if you don't meet at least the minimum requirements but not at much.

Falcon 4.0 is better for the F-16 fan and for those who are going for the best accuracy. Lock On is better for fans of aircraft (not necessary just the F-16) and for those looking for the best graphics (not that Falcon: Allied Force graphics are BAD in any way mind you).

I would say Falcon 4.0 Allied Forces. It is a great game and easy to install. Though it takes some getting used to.

You don't fly a VIPER in LOMAC. Enough said!

The graphics in Falcon series suck, downloading open falcon as I type I hope it's better the F4. Lock on is very nice, but they only have a F-15C and a A-10. I would love it if they had a viper.

There is not much change in the graphics area of OpenFalcon, maybe much newer models compared to original F4. But OpenFalcon is not a sim you would fly for its graphics. Realism is top notch...

The successor to Lockon (a survey SIM) ,is DCS Black shark (high fidelity study SIM) wich will have several expansion modules, one of them will be DCS: F-16Falcon. Expect to see a fully clickable cockpit, advanced avionics, flight and damage models (including for all ordenance and sensors), just like the currently released KA-50 quality standarts. Whats even more exciting is that there will be several other aircraft with the same depth of realism and to be playable also online that will provide awsome DACT (something we already have even though with some quirks in LOCKON).

This is going to be the real deal, not one of those Fan made projects.

Cant wait.

Falcon 4 was a good avionics SIM but its days are numbered.
