Hey!
Does anyone know the difference between the 2 patches displayed in the photo? They both look very authentic, but could one of them, or both be fake(s)?
What does the difference in the gold spear symbolize?
Any help will do!
Cheers,
-Jon |

I have also these 2 and when i look at them ( front and back ) i see the left is from APS ( written on the back)
and when i look at the 'falcon' i can not find any difference between them, ( normally color or changes are in the bird )
so i think both are form APS
thats all i know for now ( but i have send a mail to greece )

i can see plenty of differences in the falcons. only small ones mind but look closely and there are! a few on the wings but mainly on the black patches on the main body.
also the one on the left (which the walcon dosnt look as good) the writing seems to be at the wrong angle. |

Answer from Greece
Hello Martijn. Both patches are genuine. The one on the left (gold sword) is
made in Holland(a.p.s.) and the other is made in U.S.A.They were both
ordered by the sqn.A third manufacturer was also involved,SPORTLINE.The
quality of this one is the worst of all three versions. This one has the
sword made like the one at the right.I hope i helped. For any questions dont
hesitate to ask.Take care my friend.
Thanks to A....

The Sword is the Symbol of 347Mira (Sq.)
Sportline is notorious for manufacturing fake patches... |

Hi, I work for an Embroidery in Crete Greece and we produce patches for F16 squadrons based at Souda Bay. These patches would seem to be genuine, if not of a good quality.
I have atched a copy of a general Fighting Falcon patch which we produce for a number of F16 units. Sorry about the image quality, the image is a true view image taken from our manufacturing software. |
