Course you still had to snap to attention and report your post and its very flat at AUD so I guess I could see a potential sniper issue. We didn't salute in any combat zone I've ever been in...Check
Yes I was, Qatar was one of them in the orginall Camp Betty Ford. From 1981-2000 I was in Europe, meaning TDY all the time with the exception of 4 years. I have more CTZ time then most from the time and was a SNCO at the time. Protcol is Protcol. I loved my LES come tax time.
