As for Ethiopian AF order of battle posted by snypa777,
the Canberras are long gone, plus Ethiopia never had any MiG-29.
MiG-23 numbers should be a lot higher, some 50+ (especially BN variant for ground strike)

RoAF, not doubting your accuracy, where did you get your numbers from? Everywhere I look I get different figures, numbers and type.

I think some sources mix up the air forces of Ethiopia and Eritrea....That would explain the Mig-29-Su-27 error. The F-5s and the two Canberra's Ethiopia had are long gone, but as I said, no idea as to what is serviceable , flyable or just rusting in a desert in Africa or the middle East!
