I see all this talk about Dozer, I'm assuming he is a F-22 pilot but, why is there so much talk about him?

He's the demo pilot for the F-22, though soon he will be done with that if not already. I believe he will now be the squadron commander of the the F-22's based in Alaska. He posts as himself on a particular web board and answers questions. Aside from what he does for his country, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. I think a photo of him is available on this site and was just posted the other day.

He is a genuinely nice guy. He is very accessible and obviously loves the F-22. He does a great job with raptor PR and knows his shi'ite. OBTW, he shot down a MiG-29 during Allied Force. Lt Col Mike "Dozer" Shower.

I wrote him out of the blue and he not only wrote me back, but he took the time to REALLY help me out with the markings for his 493rd jet. He THEN passed me on to several other folks from that time....really went out of the way to help me out. Just a super guy.

That's affirmative on the Alaska posting - he's already commander of the 90th FS Det 1 temporarily based at Langley.

I met him right after he was named as one of the initial cadre of Raptor pilots back in 2002. I've got to echo the sentiments that he's a really nice guy, as well as someone who knows his stuff about the Raptor. He's the perfect choice for the "Pair-O-Dice" at Elmendorf.

Yes he did, although the F-22 show was really short on Sunday (I did not see Saturdays but it felt short). I suspect the overall show was running long and heaven forbid that the T-birds start late...
