There's the F-18 too, which I really like the look of. It took me a while to wrap my mind around it, but everything looks like old technology when compared to the F-22 to me now. The F-22 looks like a sleek yet powerful bird of prey to me, organic and aesthetically pleasing in it's effectiveness. The only part I'm not too fond of is it's long rectangular underbelly, though I don't really notice it that much anymore. The F-35 looks like the F-22's pudgy uncool little brother (basically what it is).
" pudgy uncool little brother "
"aesthetically pleasing in it's effectiveness"" - that's the same way I feel about the A-10, god! is that not a goofball looking bit of kit......but no other a/c shreds material better.
"everything looks like old technology to me now" - yep......me too |

Right on man. I have a thing for the A-10 myself too.
By the way, I don't mean to bad mouth the F-35. It's just no F-22 in my book.

DITTO
As I'm typing this, the Military Channel is running a spot on the differences between the Alpha and Charlie models of the A-10. As far as the 35 and 22,I favor the 22. The 16 and 15 are both KILLERS,no one will argue on that(legitimately),but some prefer one or the other. Regardless....I would trust my life and freedom to both!! |

| Even though I've moved on to the F-22 program, the F-16 will always be my first love, no matter how much of a pain in the **** she was at times...miss her already |

It'd take more than half a bottle of tequila for me to be with an A-10.
For me...I've always had a crush on the F-104 Starfighter. One of those
bit off two of Chuch Yeager's fingers, and he came back for more. You
know that was a good ride. |
