We use dual APN-232's with -04 SDCs on the C-17. Our experience is that we don't get many flights before we start to see problems with the CARA RT. Does anybody have any info on CARA reliability on F-16's or other platforms? The APB shows different MTBFs for F-16 depending on type and avionics block version.
Does it make any difference in the real world reliability if the CARA is shock-mounted?
