Hey J.J., old friend!!

Thanks a lot!! I am trying to find a bit of time to up load more photos from my trip to our photo album.

I am also on the "prowl" for more information regarding the disposal of the OH ANG Vipers from the 162nd FS. I believe that most are gone now.

Greetings,

Henrik.

That's great Henrik, keep the updates coming.

I wonder if the 134th FS is planning on new markings?

Hi Jon,

The VT ANG is keeping their well known markings from the Block-25 era. I suspected a tail code, as well, but it seems that the geen tail band with the yellow "Vermont" inscribtion and the large "militia" soldier will be kept as tail markings.

Other recent AMARC arrivals:

F-16C 85-1415 June 24, 2008
F-16C 83-1156 July 10, 2008
F-16C 84-1287 June 26, 2008

Interesting that no F-16D has been retired to AMARC. Any word if the ANG F-16Ds are going to training units?

Hi Jon,

No F-16Ds have been assigned to the ANG Block-25 units over the later years!!

Greetings,

Henrik.

Thanks Saber,

Good to know!! Do You know where 86-0262 will end up?? I believe that most of the F-16Cs still in the 162nd FS will end up in Alaska with the 18th AGRS?!

Greetings,

Henrik.

I dont think there is any plans to get rid of any more jets at this time. I believe they (BRAC) screwed. During the BRAC they did not know that the 178th FW was a training base. If and when they do leave it probably wont be for a few years. No news on 262 at this time.

Hello all,

BRAC continues to hurt ANG units all over the US and at this point the 170th FS / 183rd FW in Springfield, IL is down to eight aircraft.

Noted Jul. 24th were the following;

86-0263
87-0244 marked "170th FS".
87-0249 marked "183rd OG".
87-0296 marked for the units 60th ann.
87-0390

Two SI Vipers along with other from various ANG Block-30 units are currently on loan to the 121st FS / 113th WG at Andrews AFB, MD and the DC ANG as several of their "Small Inlet" Block-30 aircraft got damaged in a hail storm lately!!

Greetings,

Henrik.
