Well it had a fully variable yielf, which could be set on the ground or in the aircraft in flight; it had multiple delivery methods including helicopter for the lowest yield and had different engagement angles including laydown, parachute, underwater,.etc.etc

how about this one?

1st is Paveway I GBU-1/B with M117 warhead. It was one of the inspirations for the Enhanced Paveway's conduit system. Weird how these things go around.

2nd is GBU-11/B with 9I had to look this up) M118 warhead.

I only know the 2nd one because I was going to do exactly what Seat Dreamer did for the 1st Smile

Keeping with the Paveway family. Obvious at first but I'm looking for particulars.

Could it be a GBU-24 B/B E/B Series Low Level Laser Guided Bomb, Hard Target Penetrator (LLLGB, HTP)?? The GBU-24 Series LLLGB, HTP is a weapon which has a laser guidance package attached to a penetrator warhead - like the one in the photo above??!!

I almost agree with Henrik except the bomb body looks longer then the MK 84 so I would say it would be a BLU-109/B Penetrator bomb. One thing I see on this one I've never seen on our versions on the ramp is the cable or conduit running from the seeker to the hardback. The lugs are different too, so I suspect this is not an USAF bomb. The lugs look like they maybe the spring loaded type used on other munitions like the JASSM.

As for the GBU 1
A Paveway I add-on kit consisted of a gimballed seeker head, a Computer Control Group (CCG), and a set of airfoils. The latter were made up of fixed cruciform tailfins (also referred to as wings) and four movable canards (except for the KMU-342/B, which had the moving surfaces on the tail).

Okay, the answer is that it's an Enhanced Paveway III (UK). The clue that it's an Enhanced Paveway is the conduit (as Henrick says, teh US would term it GBU-24 E/B). The clue that it's a (UK) is the revised hardback with extra 14" lug positions (US ones only have 30") and the UK (and a few export users) only MACE lugs. It does indeed have a BLU-109 warhead.

What is the conduit for? Seems it would inhibit fin movement in some degree.

No limitation on fin movement that I'm aware of. It protects an electrical lead connecting the aircraft interface (EP2 are dual guidance and need to talk to the aircraft) to the guidance unit.

It's the easiest way to identify an EP variant. Presence of a conduit on the nose (and often a hardware store's worth of jubilee clips Smile

) and a 1760 connector on the tail.

Interesting, the ones I've loaded in the US do not connect to anything requiring A/C interface. I take it that duel guidance would be laser and GPS? Don't know why you would use 1760 for anything else.
