I was wondering if anyone knew the name of this component, something that is apparently only found on Belgian F-16s. See the attached image and the arrow.
I'm not referring to the threat warning antenna, but the smaller bulge to the right of it in the image.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Wow … brilliant photo. I would say that is the right turn indicator.

Just pulling your chain mate Cheers

Hello,
This is a part of the "Carapace" modification program.

Great find and thanks for the info, FALCON16 Smile

I don't know much about CARAPACE - is it only on Belgian jets?

Mostly a lurker on these forums -- interested, but not too knowledgeable

Anyway, CARPACE is apparently passive ecm. There's another thread discussing another component -- and the pilot Smile

CARAPACE was on Belgian F-16s only untill recently. The Belgian government sold some F-16s to Jordan and the CARAPACE system was kept installed in those aircraft. So from now on both Belgian and Jordanian (ex-Belgian aircraft) F-16s are equiped with CARAPACE.

Greets,

Great picture flyboy.....One thing does make me wonder though......why does it appear there is a line running straight down the centerline of the canopy? ......!
