| Please let's start more discussions about the Viper. All these F-22 and F-35 arguments are giving me a headache. It doesn't matter how good or bad an military project is, the US Congress is who decides what gets bought. The military asks, begs and a bunch of never been military, bribe takers, perverts ,politicians(crooks) at least lately, and they tell them what they are getting. You can crunch all the numbers you want, a bunch of fat cats in DC make all the decisions. |

| Unfortunately that thread monopolized conversation in F-16.net. Everything else stopped. But I'm all for getting back to the F-16. |

OK, message understood.
The discussions were indeed held in the specific F-22 & F-35 forums but I understand the block on the homepage with shortcuts to some of the recent threads got a bit monopolised. Therefore we now have two such blocks: one for the F-16 and one for the 5th gen fighters.
I hope this helps you guys keep the focus
Please let us know if you think this is NOT a good idea. |

| I think it's a VERY good idea actually, makes it easier to track new posts on both interesting categories ! |

| Very nice that F-16.net have news and forum discussions about F-22 and F-35. But I must say, F-16.net should be furthermore the world-wide number one online reference to the Viper! I wish more F-16-related input, especially about combat deployments, exercises, BRAC relocations and some more. |

| Yeah, I personally stay out of the F-22, and F-35 sections most of the time, as well as F-16 vs. XYZ, those just have too much potential for going awry. Great idea separating them on the mainpage. |

I like the F-22/F-35 section though. Unfortunately, there has been too many trolls posting there lately that seems to have stunk up the air around there. |

| Well the new jets cause a fair amount of controversy and secrecy always breeds ignorant speculation and armchair generaling. But if we took a step back in time to when the F-15 and F-16 were first in development we would have seen the same sort of stuff on the (if it had existed) F-4.net website. Fortunately the Viper will be around for a long time and maybe once the -22's and -35's appear in enough numbers they can have their own website. Then maybe the 14 year olds pretending to be pilots and those of poor social skills can move on to those websites. |

Hey J.J , no need to wish for that ! F-16.net is THE best F-16 related site around.

| You are absolutely right, Lurch! In four words: BACK TO THE ROOTS!!! As I said above, very nice that F-16.net have news and forum discussions about the F-22 and the F-35, never seen before in this quality on another public website. But I´m sure: The best way for our great webmasters should be the creation of two totally new websites: F-22.net and F-35.net. I´m absolutely sure, Lieven Dewitte and Stefaan Vanhastel (including some of the moderators) are the right men for this job. With more and more F-22 news, following by more and more F-35 news, F-16.net should be sometime overloaded with that in the future. |
