Sweet.....but I'll believe these when I see one in revenue service for longer than a year. Color me skeptical but I just can't see seating and accomodations as spacious as that for 550+ people. Branson is prolly the only owner to commit to something like that and will stick with it as long as it's profitable.
Boeing did the same thing for the 747 when they put a piano bar in the upper deck and tricked out the interior with the (at that time) premium seating. What eventually got fielded? 450 seats in an all-economy config....and no piano.
Airlines are a business after all, and will jump at any chance to maximize revenues per seat mile. Which usually means packing more cattle.....er....passengers into one tube.
Still....it doesn't hurt to dream, does it?  |
