| My condolences first. Why didn't he bail out or try to recover? There seemed to be plenty of time for it, unless he was shotdown, but the enemy doesn't have weapons that reach so high. So who shot him? |

| I think that posting this pilot's name is really in poor taste. I see that you just joined the forum...did you do that just so you could beat everybody to the punch with this information? Posting his name on a public forum opens up his family to harassment by telephone or mail. Shame on you. |

Why are we suddenly posting the name of the pilot? That's not fair to family, friends and collegues of him. Not a good thing. |

| I'm sure PacerWindmill meant no bad by posting the name but I have removed it now anyway. |

Well yea thats something many will ask but alot of things could have happened. Maybe he passed out or had a stroke or something like that... Those things happen, even to those who are thought to be in perfect health and not close to being a hart patient. Whatever it was its sad, my condolences go out to all that knew him. |

| BTW the family has been informed about the death so I believe it would be ok to post his name (I wont because there may still be objections). |

As strange as it may seem to those of us who frequent this forum, there are people out there who do not believe that our allies should be in Afghanistan, and that view this sort of event as a good thing. These same kinds of people would think nothing of making a telephone call or sending mail to torment the surviving family if they only knew where to call or write. I just don't think we should make it easy for them.
Best Regards, |
