"Two Air Force pilots to get Stinson Trophy"
Posted : Thursday Feb 11, 2010 12:11:28 EST
Staff report
Two female Air Force fighter pilots are set to receive the Stinson Trophy from National Aeronautical Association later this month.
Honored will be Lt. Col. Jean Havens and Lt. Col. Jeannie Leavitt.
Leavitt became the U.S.’s first female fighter pilot, rising to be a squadron commander.
Havens, an F-16 pilot, was among the Air Force’s few female instructor pilots. She has spent much of the past three years focused on rebuilding the Iraqi air force.

Anyone know her name?
I think it might be Captain Kristin Hubbard, the new #8 Thunderbird Advance pilolt/narrator. Her hair is shorter and curly but compare the smile in the images with the T-Bird bio picture here

And she flies a Viper!
On second thought, so female pilots don't necessarily need to have short hair, or somehow net or tie their long hair, when they wear a helmet?
Same if (an air force allows) a male pilot has long hair? |

I have never seen a male pilot with "long hair". USAF AFI doesn't allow it and in my overseas assignments, never seen foreign AF male pilots with "long hair" either. |
