Right now the 421st FS is at Balad. They replaced the 4th FS. Not sure what Guard/Reserve units are there currently.
My Old Unit are there now as well...

The unit involved will likely be kept on the QT until the USAF sees fit to release it. OPSEC issues, dontcha know. Be patient. We'll all know eventually. Just keep an eye peeled for a Viper sportin' a picture of Abu under the canopy sill with a big honkin' red line thru it .
Can you say...shhhhhhhhhack!!! |

Just to think that it happened, right at about the same time that pudknocker Al Frankken was shooting his mouth off on Letterman about how nothing is going right in the war.
Hats of to the driver who pulled the plug on that Mike Foxtrot. If I ever found out who the driver is, I'd send a case of Jack to him or her.

Based on the pod video, it's a Block 30 ANG jet using a Litening AT Plug and Play pod and a GBU-12. Good on em! |

How can you guys tell, how is the symbology different than of LANTIRN's? I noticed the arrow points to North though... Never seen that before with the LANTIRN. |

I second that, I wonder though, are they being told that they are about to drop bombs on the most wanteds? I am sure their thumbs don't shake on the WPN REL. |

The LITENING has CCD, better for day, right? Here is the video I found, don't know if it's the same as parrothead's...

I'll go in with TC on that case of Jack !
Bushmaster,
From the media reports (and we all know how reliable those can be ) it sounds like the pilots were only told that the mission was to take out a "High Value Target" but not exactly which one. I'm sure there were cheers and high fives all around when the news came out about just who had eaten a couple of precision weapons ! |
