Hey guys.
Well I'm new in the forum and I was wondering if anybody could provide a link for a BVR fighting manual. I've been looking for something like that for a long time but the only related items I have found are personal articles. Not so trustworthy... |

Hey 42,
welcome to the forum! You won't get too many replies to this question - don't take it personnaly though (See Kaasjager's post).
Have a look at the Falcon 4 flightsim manuals in our downloads section:

OK, BVR fighting tactics are classified. But I want your help here.
I use the Falcon 4.0AF and I've been trying hard to develop a tactic that would give me the possibility to maintain SA after firing 120's and let me make this clear. When fighting against also BVR capable planes,i most often accelerate, fire an AMRAAM, then decelerate and turn away in order not to allow the bogey a head-on dot shot, but at the same time am aware of not exceeding the radar's gimbal limits<60 degrees but i keep it down to 50 just as a safety buffer. But afterwards, namely when the 120 goes active, if I don't make a reposition turn to place the threat and probably his missile on my 6 in order to outrun it, I will most likely be killed. Therefore I have to break the radar lock and lose SA.I could avoid the missile aerodynamically, but imagine if the visibility is poor.
I'm looking for advice on this. |

| I don't mean to sound mean but any responses that references any USAF 3-1 tactics should not be posed here as they are all classified secret. I'm sure there are tactics guys have developed in the sim world and those are fine to discuss, but just a reminder not to write classifed. |

You probaly misunderstood my question. I'm really not asking for classified tactics but just asking for your personal experience in Falcon 4.0. |
