Strange RNLAF F-16BM paintjob.

Hi, this week i saw a F-16 (sorry for the bad quality pick, made with my cell phone) from the hangar i work in and it had a strange paint job, does anyone here knows what it is?

I believe it's one of those sold to Chile. They have the rudder blue with a little white star in the middle (covered here by the small grey square).
Also the RNLAF roundel and id number seem to be patched on rather than painted...

Hoy,

Interesting picture, where was it taken ?

The colors and over-taped markings are from/for the CHILEAN AF with serial "732". This is one of the sold ex R.Netherlands A.F. F16A/B MLU.

Hey - last time I was in Norway it was prohibited to take pictures of any military installation. :wink:

Twenthe AB has got nothing to do with Norway - it's in the Netherlands (Holland)...

Norway? it's on twenthe AB which is in the Netherlands.

And where do you see a military installation, all i see is a shack, some concrete, a fence and trees.

It is very strange that the paint pattern used on this Falcons, is different to the one used on the F-16 BL 50 from the FACh (Chilean Air Force).

another one was delivered from the painters yesterday, dunno the reg. number but it was a F-16AM, to bad i couldn't take a pic.
