It's 88-0419, one of the Viper West demo spares.
The new Viper West Demonstration pilot we should be seeing this summer. Dax "Mojo" Cornelious of the388th. He puts on a great show!! F-16C #88-0419. |

For more photos of heritage flights, go to the photo library and enter 'heritage' in the search.
A few examples:
Maj. Gen. (Ret.) William Anders, Apollo 8 astronaut, practices formation flying in a P-51 Mustang (middle) with members of Air Combat Command's Aerial Demonstration Team on February 19th at Fort Eustis, Va. Escorting are Capt. Matt Beals (top), F-15 East Coast Demonstration Team pilot from Langley Air Force Base, and Maj. Rich Duckworth, F-16 Falcon East Coast Demonstration pilot from Shaw AFB, SC. The flight was Anders' final qualification for joining ACC's Heritage Flight Program.
An F-16 Fighting Falcon (left), F-15 Eagle (front), F-4 Phantom (right) and an A-10 Thunderbolt II (back) fly in a diamond formation over Tucson, Ariz., Sunday, March 5, 2006, during the 2006 Heritage Conference. The conference combines different U.S. aircraft from more than 60 years of aviation history to ensure certification in performing air shows worldwide.

| I know we don't use the Phantom in the US anymore, except for the pilotless drones. Anybody know where that jet came from? I wouldn't imagine it's possible to buy an F-4 for your own personal use finally huh? |

It is a QF-4, 82nd Aerial Target Squadron from Holloman or Tyndall, HD Tail codes are Holloman, TD are Tyndall based, however there are several of them that have been retained for use by the heritage flight folks, and are piloted normally. The Collings foundation owns a D model privately and flies it regularly at airshows.

Latest heritage flight photo, released by USAF, taken over "Big Apple´s" Statute of Liberty. Another very nice shot, but unfortunately not sharp enough. Anyone whit a hi-resolution screen who can identify the Viper´s serial number?
Original photo caption: A P-51 Mustang, flown by Jim Beasley; an F-16 Fighting Falcon, flown by Maj. Dax Cornelius from Hill Air Force Base, Utah; an F-15 Eagle, flown by Capt. Tony Bierenkoven from Eglin AFB, Fla.; and an A-10 Thunderbolt II, flown by Capt. Jeff Yost of Pope AFB, N.C., fly over the Statue of Liberty on Thursday, May 25, 2006. (USAF photo by Tech. Sgt. Ben Bloker)

It's 90-0725, the primary demo jet, Has Maj. Corneilius' name on it.
BTW, the other 2 jets for Viper West this season are 88-0492 and the previously pictured 88-0419.
USAF F-16C block 40 #88-0492 from the 4th FS is parked under a partly cloudy sky at Hill AFB.
USAF F-16C block 40 #90-0725 from 4 FS taking off from Nellis AB for attending the Red Flag 01-04 session. |

Thank you, Scott, for verification! During the last hours, USAF added the following two pics, related to the same heritage flight over "Big Apple" and also released with the same photo caption as posted above:
So I think, that should be the most spectacularly shot of this entire three-shot series.
